By using SlangIt! (slang-it.com) you agree to these terms. They cover how you can use the service, what to expect from us, and what we expect from you. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. The service

SlangIt! is a free, browser-based online slang word game operated by halfbakedgames. The service may change over time. We may add features, remove features, or take the site down for maintenance without individual notice.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your password private and your account secure.
• One human, one account. Don't create accounts to cheat ranked / ELO matchmaking.
• Don't impersonate other people or brands in your username.
• We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or harass other players.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use SlangIt! to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
• Cheat, automate play, exploit bugs, or disrupt multiplayer for others.
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the service beyond what a normal browser does.
• Break any law where you're playing from.

4. Mature / crass slang disclaimer

SlangIt! is a slang word game. Modern slang — including Gen Z and TikTok slang — is sometimes edgy or crass. Accepting a word in the dictionary is not an endorsement of what it means or how it's used in the real world. In solo bot games and same-device pass-and-play, you can add any word to your personal blocklist so it never appears in your own games.

5. User content

Usernames, chat, friend requests, and similar user-entered text belong to you. By posting them through the service you grant us a limited license to display them inside the game to other players so the product works. Keep it respectful — see acceptable use.

6. No affiliation with other word-game brands

SlangIt! is an independent word game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Scrabble™, Words With Friends™, Wordle™, or any other word-game brand, publisher, or rights-holder. References to those games on this site are used only descriptively to compare gameplay styles.

7. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it online and honest, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, bug-free play, or perfect matchmaking. To the maximum extent permitted by law, halfbakedgames is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. Material changes will bump the "Last updated" date above.
