Multiplayer word game — play SlangIt! with friends or ranked
SlangIt! is a free, browser-based multiplayer word game built around modern slang. Play a friend, jump into ranked, challenge an AI bot, or pass a single device around — no download required.
Play a friend online
Send a shareable invite link or add a friend by their SlangIt! username. Games are async, so you can take a turn, close the tab, and come back to a nudge when your friend responds. Turn notifications work on mobile browsers without installing anything.
Ranked multiplayer
Queue for ranked and get matched to another online player near your rating. If no human is available, a ranked bot steps in after a short wait so you're never stuck on an empty queue. Wins and losses update your ELO rating.
AI bots
Multiple AI personas at different skill levels give you a solo experience without waiting on a human opponent. Bots also fill in for ranked queues when traffic is low and for practice games whenever you want.
Local pass-and-play
The old-school mode — one device, two (or more) humans, taking turns. Great for couches and road trips. Pass-and-play games honor your personal blocklist, so edgy slang you have blocked never shows up in those games either.
Cross-play on PC and mobile
Every multiplayer mode supports PC / mobile cross-play. Start a game on your laptop, finish it on your phone — or play a friend who is on the opposite device. See the mobile word game page for the mobile-specific story.
